Have you ever found any difficulties in making a perfect circular eyes for your dolls? It happened to me at first. Now, after a long trial and error, I find no issue in creating the eyes of my Waldorf dolls. Here is a simple share on how I make it.

Step 1.

Decide which part of the face where you want to make the eyes and draw the circles with pencil. Tips : It would be better if you use the exact measurement. I draw the eyes as the pictures below.

Step 2.

Start to stitch the eyes with a single cross sign inside the circle.

Step 3.

Start to stitch the right part of the eyes vertically, use the circle line as the border, and stop when it reaches the end of horizontal part of the circle. Make sure you stitch it neatly, no space between the strings and have a tight stitch. However do not pull it too hard as it will make the eyes not even.

Step 4.

Using the same way as step 3, stitch the left part of the eyes. Again, make sure you stitch it neatly, no space between the strings and have a proper tightness level of stitch.

Good Luck! Be patience. You might be find a difficulty at the beginning to make an even eye, but after few times, you would be able to do it perfectly!
